I have worked with special needs for about four years, it truly brings so much joy and patience in you at the same time. I have learned basic sign language from clients I have worked with. I use to nanny for a special needs little girl and was taught how to tube feed. She changed everything for me and then I went into working for a job that provided a day program for older people with special needs. I really wanted to get that experience and provide skills that would be helpful so they can still be independent as much as possible.
