About Esme

I like working with kids because it makes me happy to see the world through their eyes, and I love fostering within them a love of and interest in the world :). I'm looking for a nanny or tutoring job. I'd love to peak a child's interest in learning, and help them feel confident and strong. I started working with kids when I was 14 - I worked as a camp counselor, at a center for autistic children, and at elementary schools in their literacy programs. I'm currently working with 2-4-year-olds at Bay One Preschool. For tutoring, I have a strong academic background: 34 ACT, 4s and 5s on AP tests, Valedictorian in high school, and I'm TEFL-trained. I am in acting school, and hope to either work as a therapist and actor. I'm also volunteering for The Trevor Project, and would love to work with queer youth. I'm an artist at heart, and I love working with families who are open-minded, creative, and sweet. In my spare time, I like to read, write, play ukulele, and pet my cat Matrix.
