Hi, I'm Erin! I'm an incoming graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology, and supporting individuals with special needs has always been a meaningful part of my life. I grew up helping my parents care for my brother with ASD, which taught me patience, flexibility, and how to stay calm and supportive during challenging moments. I've also volunteered at a pediatric outpatient clinic, where I assist with secretion management for children with cerebral palsy and support kids with a range of neurogenic, cognitive, and behavioral disorders. Along with my personal experience, this has strengthened my ability to recognize subtle cues, help with emotion and behavior regulation, and adapt to each person's needs. Through both my lived experience and my education, I've learned how to support different communication styles. I truly care about creating a safe and understanding environment.
