Although I have not been a professional caregiver for a person with disabilities, I have been taking care of people of all ages my entire life, whether professionally, volunteering and even just having relationships. The past 8 years I have balanced the job of being a nanny for multiple children as well as managing a high-net-worth family's household. I regularly get told that I should do companion care and it is something I've always wanted to do. I have volunteered working with kids who have disabilities and have a heart for bringing joy and creativity into their lives. I am totally willing to learn how to care for someone with disabilities. I love museums, singing and playing piano, reading books, cooking new recipes, listening to my record player, being outside and trying anything new.
