I am a neurodivergent licensed Special Education Teacher and case manager for Mild/Mod in high schools! I have been a para in elementary schools, but not a SPED teacher. I also have experience in our center program with tier 3 supports. My students I have worked with range of AUDHD to students with cognitive difficulties due to strokes and seizures or even Crebral Palsy students who use assertive devices for speech. This means I have experience with many modes of communication. I have also been trained on lifts for changing. My favorite CP student I have worked with gives me a 5 star rating, but says my coworker gets a 1 star rating because he isn't funny. Many of my coworkers praise my patience on any given day. Including days with particularly rough circumstances. My funniest students say I am their favorite because I give them an opportunity to express what they need at any given time.
