About Erin

I'd describe my personality as patient, creative, and funny. I like tutoring because as a teacher in the resource room, I get the opportunity to learn about each student due to small groups. I find tutoring gives me the same opportunity, but to a greater degree. I love finding out what makes a student motivated and how their brains process information, so I can use that information for instruction. I'm looking for a job that is consistent, has clear goals, and makes a positive change in someone's life. I started tutoring when I was a stay at home mom. I've been teaching full-time since then. In my spare time, I like to run, exercise, travel, and spend time with family, friends, my cat, and my plants. One thing you should know about me is that my supervisors always note that the calm environment I provide and understanding of needs are my greatest strengths. My skills include math (pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry ), writing, and working with learning disabilities.
