Hello! I recently relocated to the Santa Rosa area to begin a master's program in mental health counseling at Sonoma State, beginning in August. For the past six years, I worked at a school for children with special needs, most with an autism diagnosis. I have also worked at a summer camp for special needs children for the past five years. I have experience with children ages 2-12 with autism, as well as ADHD, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and genetic developmental disorders. I have experience using AAC devices as most of my students were nonverbal. My duties included helping children with eating, dressing, toileting, facilitating social interactions, playing and teaching academic skills. I am passionate about working with children and I sincerely look forward to meeting you and your child!
