About Erin

Humanities tutor with 6+ years of experience supporting students ages 10-20 in English Language Arts, History, Writing, and Critical Thinking. Drawing on my background in youth work and case management, I take a highly individualized, strengths-based approach, adapting my teaching to each student's needs, interests, and goals. I believe students learn best when they feel respected, understood, and encouraged to be curious. I strive to create an environment where young people can build academic skills and confidence while developing a stronger sense of their abilities and unique voice. I also offer guidance in executive functioning, study skills, college readiness, organization, and personal development. I particularly enjoy helping students develop practical strategies that make school more manageable while cultivating positive self-regard and agency that will serve them through all seasons of life.
