I am an artist, nanny, educator, and business owner. I have a Masters in Fine Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and after graduation I taught continuously to people/children of all ages (toddlers, elementary, middle school, high school, adults). I was also an Adjunct Professor at AB-Tech and UNC-A for two years but then took a step back from teaching to focus on art. I am now a tattoo artist and business owner with a lot of flexibility in my schedule and would love to start nannying again. I have 5 years of nannying and babysitting experience, and 5 years of teaching experience. This includes one years as a teaching assistant in a Montessori preschool classroom. I love outdoor activities, art, reading, playing, learning, growing. I am very patient, passionate, grounded, caring, and nurturing. I would love to get the chance to get to know your kid(s)!

Erin was a lifesaver for our family this summer when childcare shut down due to covid-19. She kept our 4-year-old daughter entertained and learning, and the 1-year old was a happy camper when she was around. Some of our favorite things about Erin: 1) Erin talks to children with respect, and she gives them choices that are reasonable and allow them to feel like they have some control. She is both firm and kind, and she models appropriate emotion regulation in her communication. I learned a lot from watching her! 2) Erin was always ENGAGED with the kids. She helped our 4-year-old write "books," make mobiles, draw and cut out dozens of animals, and complete "experiments" galore (volcanoes, slime, etc.). 3) Erin communicated clearly and thoughtfully with us about how we operate our home and what the kids needed. I loved being in the loop about what occurred during the day. 4) Erin is taking covid-19 seriously. Bottom line- she's GREAT!
