Hi, my name is Erika! I am a Blacksburg native who loves caring for little ones! I will be looking for a new part-full time position beginning sometime late Aug-Oct '26, but am not currently looking to take on regular hours. My ideal position would be newborn care/postpartum family support. I have been working with infants (my passion & sweet spot!) & children of all ages in many settings for 15+ years, including special needs. I worked as an elementary & pre-k special ed aide for 9 years, working 1:1 with children with various needs. I am very safety conscious, first aid & CPR certified, a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (car seat tech), and have ASL experience. I have also completed multiple Newborn Care Specialist trainings. I am detail oriented & can help with light housekeeping tasks like organizing, laundry, & cleaning.
