I’m so happy to have found Erika. We had interviewed several people for the position to help my 77 year old father after the death of my mom. Erika stood out above the rest. She is very friendly, always smiling. My dad is definitely not the easiest person to care for. He is stubborn and resists change, but somehow Erika was able to get through his stubbornness and he would actually listen to her and comply with her requests of him. She was able to get him to drink more water, exercise a little and was actually able to get dad OUT OF THE HOUSE and go on small jaunts to the store or the dog park. It was amazing to watch their interaction and see how well she did with him. She is exceptional. She also helped him keep his area cleaner, managed his weekly medication, and would even cook for him so he was eating more nutritious. Most of all what stood out is how she would take the time to listen to his stories and genuinely listen. She was never too busy with other tasks to take the time, sit down and just talk with him.
