I've been in teaching, mentoring, or tutoring roles for most of my academic and professional life. I've run review sessions, taught my own classes as a grad student, tutor students, mentored junior colleagues at work - it's something I have always been good at, with adaptability to the student and in teaching style a strong skill of mine. Those ah-hah moments when it clicks for a person, when they make those connections to the whys and the hows and truly begin to grasp what they are learning brings me real joy, and is why I do this. I am currently tutoring multiple students in various maths as well as subjects ranging from chemistry to English, with consistent, strong positive feedback and results from the student and/or parents.
