My graduate studies were in gerontology. Before yoga, long term care for dementia patients was my passion. Right after graduation I became a hospice volunteer and worked as a Adult Day Care Activities Director and as a research specialist for NIH funded research projects at 2 Universities and the Veterans Administration Research Center of Excellence in Gainesville, Florida. I have worked with families, providing respite, exercise, support and companionship for decades.
