About Erica

Over the years I helped care for my distant cousin who had a severe stroke that left her paralyzed on 1 side of her body. I would prepare her weekly medications, take her to doctor appointments, cook, clean, buy groceries, run errands with her & of course provide companionship. I've also worked at All About You Home Care where I assisted a male patient who was total care. He was paralyzed, had a feeding tube and trachea, and I was trained by his mother on how to clean his trachea and feed him through his tube. Another time, I cared for a mother (on hospice) of my church family. Still today, they ask for me when they need care for a loved one. I'v become close to them, as if I am part of their family. I worked at the hospital for 4 years in the psych depart., working with elderly, adult, and child patients. I learned a lot from working in a hospital setting. I've also worked as a PCA in group homes like Robinswood & Evergreen Life Services, where I learned to assist with daily living.
