I received my B. S. in K-12 Special Education from Penn State University in May 2017. I have experience working with individuals who have a wide array of special needs, from learning disabilities to ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder): -In 2015, I worked for Bucks County Intermediate Unit's ESY (extended school year) program as an Instructional Assistant. I assisted young adults in educational, work, and leisure-related tasks -In 2017, I completed student teaching at one of North Penn's elementary schools. I spent half of that time in a self-contained Autistic Support classroom and the other half of it in a co-taught third grade classroom with a Learning Support teacher. -Although most of my experience is with children with less severe needs, I've spent many hours learning about children/adults with more severe needs. I've also spent time in these settings (multiple disability classrooms, life skills classrooms, etc.).
