I have more than 13 years of experience as a special education teacher and in leadership roles. I have worked with children with a wide range of abilities and needs, including those who are medically complex or fragile, as well as children with autism, ADHD, behavioral challenges, learning disabilities, and speech and language disabilities. I also have experience supporting children with seizure disorders and feeding tubes. I value getting to know each child as an individual-their strengths, interests, needs, and what helps them feel safe and comfortable. I pride myself on finding strategies that help children succeed while meeting them where they are. I believe social and emotional growth is just as important as academic development. I enjoy helping children build confidence, relationships, communication and self-advocacy skills, and strategies for navigating their emotions. My goal is for every child to feel understood, supported, valued, and capable of success. .
