I have a degree in Recreation and Leisure studies, with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. During college I worked with children of all functions, but for the last two years of college I began working specifically with people with disabilities and have worked with them ever since. I worked in a recreation facility providing services for several different disabilities, such as people diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, several people on the Autism Spectrum, and other disabilities. Since 2010 I have been working in special education, specifically with children with sensory and communication delays, as well as being diagnosed with Autism, as a classroom aide.
