Have you ever met someone that kids seem to leap to say hello to? That's a sign its a God-given gift. With over 20 years experience working with children (in-home, respite, hospital, clinics, etc.), watching your kiddo(s) isn't just about getting a set of eyes on them to make sure they don't blow up the home... It's about creating an environment where they feel protected - physically and emotionally. I intentionally scaffold the child's learning, use play/art as means of therapy & exploration, and intuitively listen to the needs from each child. All while creating a sanctuary for you to come home to. It's about helping their little bodies regulate their big emotions by providing the vocabulary and tools for expression rather than suppression. It's about exposing them to the healing effects & wisdom of Nature. Getting them in as much fresh air as possible. It's about allowing them to lead as they develop their sovereignty by providing choices & curiosity.
