About Emma

I have a BS in Biology and have one semester left before I receive a MA in Teaching with a focus in secondary biology. I love science but am also skilled in English, Math, and learning/studying skills. I worked as a paid peer tutor in college for biology courses, physics, algebra, trigonometry, statistics, psychology, and other general education courses. I am a certified substitute teacher in WV which I have done for two years. After I finish my degree this summer, I will also be a certified teacher with a specialty in biology. While my focus is secondary education, I also taught kindergarten as a long-term substitute teacher during the 2024-25 school year. I worked as a homework leader at an after school program this year as well where I helped students in kindergarten-sixth grade with all subjects of homework. I am proficient in technology so online tutoring is an option. Teaching is my passion and I love children, so I can't wait to find local tutoring jobs!
