Hi there! I've grown up taking care of my younger brother who is diagnosed with Autism and Downs Syndrome. My mom is single and working and so I get lots of experience working through Online school with him and therapy over Zoom. I had a semester long internship at an Occupational Therapy office where I became familiar with different systems of communication. My brother used the PECS system and I am very familiar with that> I worked as a volunteer for a program called YoungLife Capernaum dedicated to befriending and loving students in my community with disabilities. I attended summer camp as a counselor for those students and worked 15 hour days, and still was able to maintain my cheerful, kind, enthusiastic nature.

Emma is my daughter, but she has been an invaluable help to me as a single mom. My youngest is eleven years old with Downs Syndrome and Autism. He is developmentally around 18 months but has the body and strength as a big boy. Emma is extremely patient with him and can get him to cooperate when even I, sometimes cannot. She gets along well, and is loved by all the young children we know! She's dependable and conscientious in her work.
