About Emma
Experience: 6 yrs
Currently, I am in leadership at an animal shelter where I oversee the caregivers and ensure the daily care of all dogs. My duties range from scheduling all caregivers, creating support plans for dogs, to cleaning kennels! My favorite part of my job is working with the more fearful pups - gaining their trust and seeing them open up is so rewarding! In past lives, I have been a Registered Behavior Technician, a nanny, a preschool teacher, and a swim instructor! I have worked with children ages 1-15 years old. I supported them in the home, in the community, and at school with language (verbal, sign, talking devices), occupational tasks, eating goals, etc. I absolutely LOVED getting to know each kiddo and learning what they love. I am huge on autonomy and finding ways to help kids learn in their own way and in ways they can enjoy it! I currently live in south city with my three kitties and my foster puppy, whom I plan to adopt! I love the warmer weather and love to be outside.

Emma has a unique ability to build trust and respect with every child she works with. She is very patient and kind hearted. In my experience working with Emma she has always listened to what children have to say, offered just the right amount of assistance to help them be independent, and been a great playmate.
