Hi, families! My name is Emma and I just completed my Master's in nursing from Columbia University. I am caring, patient, and fun, plus passionate about working with kids! I've been babysitting/nannying for eight years, and before starting nursing school, I taught preschool full-time on the UWS for three years. I hold a BA in Childhood Education and Political Science, also from Columbia. I am well-versed in the developmental needs of babies and toddlers, and will always make my time with your little ones stimulatory as well as fun. I believe in keeping screen time to a minimum and encouraging active learning through play. I am infant/child CPR and First Aid certified, and have taken courses in child development and safety. And, I am fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 (and the flu!). Right now, I would love to develop ongoing relationships with a few new fams for as-needed babysitting/nannying! For the past year plus, Emma has cared for our now 2-year-old with so much thoughtfulness and love. She is always chatting with her, reading books, singing songs, taking her to parks and museums around the city, and sending us the most beautiful photos of it all. Other families in our building have even stopped to tell us how wonderful she is with our daughter. She knows so much about child development and finds ways to make every moment educational and engaging. Our daughter adores her, and we feel so lucky to have her in our lives.
