I am 36 years old and have my AS in infant and toddler care. I have experience as a teacher in an infant classroom at Patagonia's Child Development Center as well as a nanny for over 15 years. I feel that I have found my calling. I am friendly and outgoing and I love children because I believe they have a way of lighting up a room. I enjoy singing and being goofy and encourage children to embrace their creativity as well. I also love being outdoors and staying active. I am an avid backpacker and protecting the environment is one of my many passions so I am hoping to find a family that appreciates the environment and considers themselves "green." I have a smart, friendly, hypoallergenic small breed pup who loves children and would like to bring him with me, but not a deal breaker.

Hire Emma today! IF you have any hesitation, let me put you at ease. We came to Catalina Island for a weekend wedding, and only a week or so in advance realized we needed childcare for our 5 month old. I was nervous to leave my baby in the evening for the very first time, especially with someone I hadn't established a relationship with. Emma was so kind to meet me as soon as we got off the ferry to put my mama heart at ease. I was immediately comfortable with her, and so was my baby boy. We needed her for two nights. She very quickly learned how to best sooth and care for my baby, and had the right steady, calm, grounded energy that is SO important for creating an environment of safety and security for a baby. I felt totally at peace leaving my baby with her. She communicated with me and gave me the peace of mind to even stay out a bit later than I had intended. If I lived in Catalina Island I would hire her full time!
