// Diabetic care //I have 14 years of experience with type one diabetic care. I have diabetes myself so I have a full and complete understanding of the care that's needed. I don't have mush experience with insulin pumps but I'm a fast learner and understand most of the mechanics and rules for pumps. // Autism spectrum disorder // I have lifelong experience with people of all ages with ASD. My nonverbal communication is very good and I'm very good at observing behavior and understanding what it means. I also have a good understanding of meltdowns and shutdowns and how to observe overstimulation before it escalates into a meltdown or shutdown. I am quiet and respectful to the wants and needs of the people in my care. I am willing to incorporate therapy techniques into the day excluding ABA techniques.
