About Emma

So, you're probably wondering what I'm doing here looking for a babysitting position. Well, the truth is I love kids. As the oldest of my siblings and cousins, I have been caring for children since I can remember. I began babysitting in middle school, was a counselor at a ski and snowboard camp for multiple years and coached countless lacrosse camps. I have volunteered in South Africa since 2012 working with orphans affected by HIV/AIDS. My volunteer work required me to teach children who did not speak English how to play lacrosse and I was able to do this effectively even with the language barrier. I have been working for a social purpose consultancy since March 2017 and moved to New York City in July (was previously commuting from NJ, so I am very familiar with the city itself). After being in NYC for a couple months now, I'm realizing what an incredible opportunity it would be begin babysitting for a family -- either in afternoon / evening hours. So, here I am!
