First time using Care.com and absolutely disappointed. We hired Emma to be a Nanny for our 9 month old son and asked her to help around the house. The first day seemed to go well. The second day she said she didn’t feel well and went to the dr and informed me she tested positive with strep throat. She offered to work two days later, I asked her to return Tuesday the following week. She worked that day and I thought everything went well. The next day she called 15 minutes before she was supposed to work and said she had a family emergency. Later that day she informed me her boyfriend’s brother had a heart attack and was ok. We agreed she would work the following day at 10am. She never showed up or informed me she couldn’t work. In fact, I never heard back from her ever again. I sent her a few text messages along with final payment of services. I don’t know what to believe and it makes me question if there were other intentions to gain access in my home. I’m upset that I trusted her in my house and to be alone with my child. I find it irresponsible and unprofessional to no-show and “ghost” me. I do not recommend Emma.
