About Emi

Learning comes alive when confidence takes center stage. I empower students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I have my Bachelors of Science in Biology from Pepperdine University and one year of experience tutoring students in math, English, science, and test preparation at the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels. I actively listen to students and vary my teaching strategies to accommodate their needs. Connecting challenging topics to real-world examples keeps my students motivated. Communication is key! I provide regular updates to parents. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is the most rewarding part of being a tutor. I have a car and am comfortable tutoring at a student's home, center, online, library, community center, school, or coffee shop. I am starting medical school in the fall, and I am CPR and First Aid trained. I am eager to help you achieve your academic goals!
