About Emily

Hi there! My name is Emily , and I'm excited to help tutor your child! I recently graduated from Boston University with a 3. 95 GPA, where I double majored in English Literature and Political Science. I'm passionate about reading, writing, history, and helping students build confidence in subjects that feel challenging. I tutor English, Reading, History, Social Studies, AP U. S. Government, AP U. S. History, Spanish (all levels). I especially love helping students discover books they enjoy and become stronger, more confident readers. I also have several years of experience working with children as a babysitter and summer camp counselor. I'm patient, encouraging, and adaptable, with a goal of helping students not only succeed, but feel proud of their progress. In my spare time, I like to run, do yoga, read and spend time outside. I have read 55 books so far this year! I tutor because I love teaching and working one on one with students.
