About Emily

I started babysitting at a really early age and continued doing so for many years. Prior to getting married and becoming a mom I worked as a nanny, and also as a preschool teacher/assistant. And even did some home daycare after I got married and had our first daughter. I've spent the better part of my working life as a medical assistant which pulled me into many different clinical settings including pediatrics. Most recently, before our move to the desert from Portland, Oregon, I worked as the office manager for a behavioral health clinic. I'd love to find a family that needs occasional or part-time help. I really enjoy cooking and baking so I'm happy to help with meal prep or laundry. I love to go on walks, take trips to the park, zoo, or library.

Emily was our babysitter/nanny for maybe 8-9 months (when my son was about 14 months old or so to 22 months) before we ended up leaving the area. We agreed that leaving Emily was the hardest part of all. She was an absolute family member by the end and we miss her already. She’s so gentle and caring, she takes initiative when we were busy and I just appreciated having her to talk to sometimes. My son adored her so much and RAN to the door to greet her every day. Happy to be a reference here
