About Emily

Hello, my name is Emily and I have taught Montessori kindergarten for 10 years. I have a passion for helping your child become confident in reading or math by using hands on materials and doing my best to teach to their learning style. I have found over the years that building an academic foundation is achieved by meeting several times a week for shorter times. I play games with your child to keep them engaged and having fun. I am willing to come to your home. My preferred age group is K-2nd. So if your child needs help or if your child has an interest in reading but you don't know where to start I am willing to meet with you and see if this is a good fit. I'd describe my personality as fun laid back quiet I like tutoring because I love to see children grow confident in their skills. I also was the child who needed the one on one and I want to give that attention to your child. My skills include early reading and math skills
