About Emily

I started working with children at an after-school care program in 2000 and haven't looked back. Since then, I have been a nanny for five families, taught in day care centers with a variety of ages, and babysat as well. While working with children, I also made the decision to go to school to receive a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. As of 2007, I have a degree and an MN state teaching license (birth-grade 6). I have a passion for working with children and I love watching them learn and grow each and every day. I am currently working 2. 5 days a week; however I'm looking to take on some additional work on the days I'm not scheduled-typically Thursday and Friday. I am used to working with 3+ children and have also worked in a day care setting, so caring for multiple children is not a problem for me. My girls are in school full-time now; however, I like to get them on and off the bus, so I'm looking for work between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. :)

Emily worked as our full-time nanny for 3 years from the time my youngest was an infant until my son started Kindergarten. She is extremely dependable and her training in early childhood education would shine through in her every-day interactions with our children. Every day she planned crafts and learning activities, healthy meals, play dates, and outings. She always went above and beyond. She is wonderful and I cannot recommend her highly enough!
