About Emily

Hi! I'm Emily, a recent Cornell University graduate with a B. S. in Nutritional Sciences and over eight years of tutoring experience. I've worked with students of different ages and learning styles in reading, writing, biology, psychology, and general science. I also have experience as a teaching assistant, peer mentor, and educational program coordinator. Academically, I graduated with a 3. 7+ GPA and scored a 1510 on the SAT and 510+ on the MCAT. My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and individualized. Whether we're strengthening reading comprehension, developing an essay, preparing for an exam, or tackling a difficult science concept, I focus on finding explanations that click for each student. My goal is to make challenging material approachable while building confidence, strong study habits, and problem-solving skills that students can use independently.
