About Emily

Emily is the best OG reading/writing tutor you could ever hope for!!!! We have Emily to thank for our daughter's aptitude for and love of reading!!! Our daughter was behind grade level mid-way through kindergarten and Emily caught her up within about 1-2 months. Emily uses the OG method, which is what our school teaches, so her sessions reinforced and paired with what our daughter was learning in school. We kept Emily on for over a year, not only because our daughter was learning so much - but also because she ENJOYED their sessions!! We ultimately had to stop our sessions because Emily got our daughter a grade level above where she should be - and life got too busy to continue. Our daughter now genuinely loves reading - she reads to herself for at least an hour before going to sleep every night, and finds a peace and escapism when she reads that I didn't have until I was in 7th grade. I cannot recommend Emily enough, and in fact, have recommended her to a couple friends in our class, who also use her, and have similar rave reviews!!
