Hello! I'm a former elementary school teacher with a Masters degree in Teaching English. I have taught in both public and private schools, but enjoy working one-on-one with elementary school children the most! I cater lessons to each individual students' needs and interests in order to make learning fun and maximize students' success. I am a certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist and am certified in the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading. As such, I use a structured literacy approach to teaching reading and other language skills. I'm also a published author and illustrator, and love helping students with creative projects! I have formerly held a California single subject English teaching credential and a New York ESL K-12 teaching credential.
