My name is Emily. I am currently a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school. I have a degree in Early Childhood Development and Special Education. Most of my teaching has been in an inclusive preschool setting. I'm considering taking a year off from teaching and would like to help families in the community. I've worked with High Schoolers that need some extra tutoring, I've done food preparation for parents, administered medicine, and have watched twins of varying ages. My passion is for the little ones. Getting down on their level and watching them learn and grow just amazes me. I've been babysitting since I was old enough and have nannied for several families in different situations. I have a reliable vehicle, don't smoke, and am willing to renew my CPR certification (currently expired).

We met Emily in a recent desperate need for a new weekend babysitter and a few sick days here and there, through care.com. She has been an absolute treasure! Emily needed no instructions in interacting with our daughter. She took right off with our little one and started chasing her and engaging in getting to know her, and never even thinking of the TV as an entertainment option. She has been fantastic and our little one is always so excited to hear that Emily will be coming to play with her! She genuinely looks after the well being of our daughter and is not afraid to get down on her hands and knees and play :)
