About Emily

If you would like a nanny that wants to play, imagine, and create with your young ones, then I am perfect for the job. I love exploring the outdoors and seeking out the passion and curiosity that children bring to the world. They inspire me to be more fully alive and engaged in the wonderment all around us. My formal education is in Environmental Studies from Ithaca College, and I have experience caring for children ranging from ages newborn to teens. A few years ago, I received a Wilderness Skills Instructor certification and have had the pleasure of working with children in the outdoors through survival skills, nature connection, and awareness. Since then I have also continued my survival/mentoring education through a 9-month program in Washington State, the Anake Outdoor School and have spent three years working at Wild Earth. I find my gifts within the coyote mentoring nature of working with children, as in learning by experience, curiosity, and through mentor-ship.
