About Emily

I am an experienced nanny looking for a part-time or as-needed position. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and in addition to childcare and pet-sitting, I have extensive experience providing therapy services for children, adolescents and families. As I am currently building my practice I have a very flexible schedule. I would love to fill my time nurturing the needs of your loved ones and am happy to address any additional needs you may have related to running errands, housework, etc. My childcare philosophy is rooted in developing secure attachment functioning through authoritative parenting practices. I aim to provide a safe, warm and dependable relationship with the children I care for, while offering experiential learning activities and appropriate room for exploration and building autonomy. I have extensive experience attending to the unique needs of infants and toddlers up to age 5, though I am competent and comfortable with all ages.
