About Emily

Hi! I'm Emily, a graduate student at Boston College studying Mental Health Counseling. I've always had a passion for working with children and families, and I started doing so since I was 12 years old. I graduated from Providence College with a double major in Psychology and Sociology, where I developed a particular interest in developmental psychology. I'm now pursuing my master's with the goal of specializing in child and family development and counseling, and hope to eventually pursue a PhD. I'm caring, patient, responsible, and enthusiastic, with experience caring for children from newborns through age 15 through babysitting, volunteering in schools, and working as a camp counselor. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of healthy child development, social-emotional development, and family dynamics. I love creating fun, engaging environments through play, crafts, reading, dancing, singing, and activities tailored to each child's interests!
