About Emily

I'd describe my personality as caring, charismatic, and compassionate. I like working with kids because they keep me grounded! They remind me how simple and fun life can be. I started working with kids when I became a 4th grade public school teacher in 2020, and I taught for three years total. During one of my summer breaks while teaching, I had the opportunity to work as a live in nanny for a family with two kids in Italy! After leaving teaching, I worked for the Texas Department of Family Protective Services for a year, where I continued working with kids and families on a daily basis. Currently, I am getting my masters in Public Affairs at the University of Texas. My student schedule allows me to be pretty flexible as far as child-care hours go! In my spare time, I like to take my dog on walks, play sports (volleyball and basketball are my favorite), and explore the city as much as I can!
