About Emily

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, cheerful, and self motivated. I like working with kids because they always keep me on my toes and boredom doesn't exist! I'm looking for a job that is slightly flexible to accommodate my PT job that I currently work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I started working with kids when I was 16. In my spare time, I like to draw, sit by the river, groom dogs, and just sit still for a minute. One thing you should know about me is that I have two wonderful children and a fantastic husband. Two of which are undiagnosed on the spectrum. This has opened my eyes to so much more than I learned in Early Childhood classes. I continue to learn more every day about autism and how to navigate the trials that go with it. My skills include cooling meltdowns, holding a childs interest, and teaching respect.
