About Emily

Hello! My name is Emily, and caring for children has been a passion of mine since I started babysitting at age 11. I have several years of experience working with children and families as a Teacher's Assistant, Lead Infant and Toddler Teacher, and a Nanny for a local family for 6 years. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Winona State University, which has strengthened my understanding of child development and individual needs. I love planning fun activities that help little ones learn and grow through play, including crafts, sensory play, reading, building, and outdoor adventures. My approach is patient, nurturing, and play-based. I strive to create a safe, loving environment where every child feels valued, comfortable, and free to be themselves. Caring for children is more than a job to me; it's something I genuinely love, and I feel lucky to be part of their growth and development! I also love animals and have a 9-year-old Golden Retriever myself!
