About Emily

Warm, nurturing, and attentive, I have a 6-year-old and a baby due April 2, 2026. My hope is to find another infant that I can care for while I also care for my own infant (my older son goes to kindergarten). I live in the Washington Park area and would need to care for your child in my own beautiful apartment. My availability times are somewhat flexible. I studied Comparative Religions and Counseling so I am aware of developmental stages, compassionate communication, positive reinforcement, and many other child-affirming practices. I worked in health care as a chaplain for 8 years. I also worked in higher education. I have been a nanny for a year for 2 kids (ages 1 and 3). I have also provided part-time child care for date nights, caring for up to 3 children at a time. I am bilingual (Spanish), and interned in a bilingual preschool for a summer. I have also been a substitute teacher for ages K-12 for a year. I have abundant experience in the Arts and have also taught dance and yoga.
