About Emily

My Name is Emily and I have been a Nanny for 15 years. I grew up in an in-home daycare, owned and operated by my parents. This fueled my desire to study Early Childhood Education, and to become a Nanny. I moved to Brooklyn, NY in March 2014 to go to College for Earth and Planetary Science. But have decided that working with children is my passion. I am an active person and enjoy being busy. I also love to be outside, I Rock Climb whenever I get the chance, and hike when I can't do that. I like to apply my education to all my positions, making sure that I am planning activities that are developmentally appropriate for every child. I am also a strong advocate for limited or no screen time, having as much outdoor time as possible and developing a relationship with each child. Also, I am Infant/Adult CPR/AED/First aid certified and have training in Positive Guidance. Being a former STEM student, I love to sneak Science and Math into everyday life with fun games and experiments.
