About Emily

Hello! My name is Emily and I'm a 22-year-old originally from Long Island, New York. I moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA and graduated with a degree in Climate Science. Before beginning my career in atmospheric science I am looking to work in childcare and pet care for a few years - I truly think it's the most rewarding work! In middle and high school I volunteered as a camp counselor for a local nature rehabilitation center and found my love of childcare and animal welfare there. I received training to handle the animals at the center, ranging from reptiles to birds to small mammals, and used this knowledge to teach campers about different species and how to properly interact with them. As a climate science major, I have a deep love for the environment and animals, so working with any pets would be a dream! Please reach out with any questions you may have :)
