About Emily

Hello! My name is Emily and I'm a 22-year-old originally from Long Island, New York. I attended UCLA and graduated with a degree in Climate Science. Before beginning my career in atmospheric science I am looking to work in childcare for a few years! In middle and high school I volunteered as a camp counselor for a local nature rehabilitation center and found my love of childcare there; I simultaneously worked as a counselor at a local golf course to gain more experience and share my love of golf with the community. I continued with my passion in college and served as a mentor and president of an organization called WYSE, where members mentor middle school girls in the LAUSD system and help them grow into confident young leaders. In my spare time, I love to play piano and listen to all music, hike, run, read, and relax at the beach. I'm open to many different work experiences and would love the opportunity to care for and support children and their families in the LA community :)
