I have years of experience in both classroom and home environments caring for ages 3mos-12yrs, with four years of experience as a full-time nanny for children ages 8mos-5yrs. I love caring for children and having the opportunity to support and encourage their physical, mental, social, and emotional developmental. When requested, I can assist parents in tracking this developmental progress as well. I maintain Red Cross Certification for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. I have my own transportation, and also have experience driving children when needed, using both my own car and household cars. We hired Emily to care for our toddler, after a negative experience with a daycare center. We had never used a nanny or had many people watch him, and after our first meet we knew Emily was the perfect match. She has been providing above and beyond care for our little one the past few months and she has truly been a god send to our family. He has some sensory issues and she immediately knew how to support him and his learning. After the first week of having her, he was calmer, happier, and his language has jumped more in a week to a few months than a year previously in a center. She is so patient and calm and a toddler whisperer. She has great skills with teaching language, too. My 2 year old used to struggle with some separation anxiety and now he is so happy to see her and he says bye to me with a smile and I know he feels so safe with her, and that is all you can ask as a parent. She takes him on fun outings and helps get his energy out in the day, while also doing lots of reading and fun play. I highly recommend Emily to any family lucky enough to hire her.
