About Emily

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With four years of experience as a Certified ELA teacher, I specialize in English and test preparation for middle and high school students. I am also getting my reading specialist certification. I believe in fostering a genuine love for learning by helping you develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By actively listening and adapting my methods--whether through visual aids or hands-on discussions--I ensure our sessions align with your unique needs. I keep concepts engaging by connecting them to your personal interests and breaking complex tasks into manageable steps. Because open communication builds trust, I prioritize consistent dialogue with both you and your parents. Seeing your confidence soar as you master new skills is the most rewarding part of my work. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals and watching you succeed.
