About Emily

Back in 2022, my grandmother of 82 years old was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer stage four. I lived with her for a year and provided care for her such as making meals, creating engaging things for her to do, having meaningful interactions that made her days more memorable, some bathing (and doing her hair of course), and grabbing items she needed from the store. I also encouraged her to remain active and went on walks with her in the driveway! I also made sure that she was taking the right medications and took them on time/with food. I am by no means a nurse- but I have worked in a nursing home in my graduate school placement, which really gave me a heart for older people. My experience with my grandma has shown me how important respite care is for families and I'd love to be a reliable person who can help your family! Bonus points if they want me to do a devotional with them on the daily :)
