About Emily

During the week, I work as a learning specialist working with students with mild to moderate disabilities. I have been teaching special education for 5 years and love working with students with learning differences. Particularly students who struggling to read and write. I am certified in teaching a curriculum called Orton Gillingham that is a multi modal way of learning that supports all learners. I have lots of tools to use with struggling students and am happy to help with executive functioning skills such as planning, task initiation, organization, time management. I would like to support you and your child and keep them from losing what they have worked so hard to gain this school year! I'd describe my personality as understanding, supportive, passionate My skills include experience with multiple learning supports, familiarity of curriculum and strategies to support a variety of learners, patience and understanding for both students and families
