About Emily

I am a Maryland certified teacher who currently serves at FCPS. I was a classroom teacher for 5 years and am now a K-5 targeted intervention teacher. I specialize in helping students with learning disabilities including dyslexia, as well as MLLs. I have a masters degree in Supervision and Administration from Johns Hopkins. I am also pursuing an additional masters degree in literacy from McDaniel College and will graduate in 2026. I am certified in LETRS, Neuhaus, and Really Great Reading. In the summer I will be certified in OG+ and Language Foundations. I currently reside in East Berlin, Pennsylvania. Willing to drive to student's residence, meet online, or a local library. Tutoring with me includes an assessment to see how your child is achieving, a personalized academic plan, weekly personal sessions with me, and resources for you to continue helping your child at home. I am also a mom of two. Looking forward to helping your child close gaps in their reading or math education!
