I absolutely love being a career nanny! I hold a bachelors degree in communications sciences and disorders (speech and audiology) and an education licensure pre-k to 3rd grade. I spent the college years being a camp counselor and babysitter. My early career worked with children with level 3 autism, and worked in a daycare as a floater teacher for 1-6-year-olds on the side. I then moved to work with adults with an intellectual disability, until going into corporate America. I chose to leave corporate America in 2025 as I wanted to go back to my roots working with children. I have been a full time nanny in a nanny share for 2 2-year-old boys. I have experience with children with adhd and epilepsy. I have my own car and am comfortable driving children. My mother is an OT and my dad is a developmental pediatrician, so I grew up learning all about child development even before I studied it in college and have great work experience. I am looking to grow with a family long term if possible!
We feel incredibly lucky to have had Emily as part of our nanny share. She cared for our families’ two young children (ages 2 and 2.5 at the time) with warmth, attentiveness, and a steady, grounded presence that immediately put us at ease. Emily has a wonderful ability to balance structure and flexibility throughout the day. She kept the children engaged with age-appropriate activities, encouraged outdoor play, and supported social development within the share in a thoughtful and proactive way. She is communicative, reliable, and consistently showed strong judgment—something that mattered deeply to us as working parents. What stood out most was her calm, patient demeanor. She handled transitions, big emotions, and the general unpredictability of young children with kindness and confidence, creating a safe and nurturing environment for both kids. We are only transitioning out of the share due to a change in our family’s needs, and would wholeheartedly recommend Emily to any family looking for a caring, dependable, and experienced caregiver.
